Frogs are an important part of our business, here's what we do to help keep there homes clean!
Floating Frogs has changed our packaging to reflect a more eco-conscious mindset. All our packaging is reused, recycled, or compostable, allowing us to reduce our waste and single use plastics. We still have some leftover plastic sleeves, that are recycled and more compostable than normal plastic. However once its gone we will not be using anymore single use plastic unless the product is packed with it from the manufacturer. For wholesale/items in stores we will use recycled & recyclable poly bags (where necessary!), also listed below in our materials.
Why do we use the wording, "Eco conscious"?
Well I (Kai), don't really think the phrase, "eco-friendly" gives the correct pathos & ethos. It implies packaging that is friendly for the environment, fully breaks down, and similar ideals. My manufacturers ship my product in plastic, and there is little I can do to avoid that, to throw those away and change the packaging in the name of "ecofriendly" would just...defeat the purpose entirely, no? Using the phrasing, "Eco Conscious", I believe, gives off the feeling of being aware (conscious even) of our single use plastic and waste. And at the same time reducing that as much as possible and reusing where we can instead of focusing in aesthetic with out packing.
